Kingdom of Ambleon: Aircraft (Royal Ambleonian Air Force/Royal Ambleonian Navy Fleet Air Arm)

Ambleon had several flying clubs for Pegasi before the war, and had a lot of talented flyers when the war began. However, when it came time to introduce powered aircraft, they found themselves at a bit of a crossroads when it came to development. Some wanted to develop streamlined barely-bouyant airframes deisgned for performance, others wanted mini-blimps designed for stability. In the end, Ambleon's only experimental air craft manufacturer, "Fairy Air Systems," managed to produce one airframe to perform both basic jobs as the beginnings of Ambleon's air services. Ambleon was also the first nation to train Earth and Unicorn ponies for air service, with Fairy's first aircraft, a trainer, in late 1003 C.S.

The "Pintail" scout plane is also designed for light anti-submarine work. A relatively thin but WIDE aircraft, with a wingspan of 10 meters, it's designed to be hard to hit from the front and sides, while sill allowing a generous gas bag allowance. It's a neutral bouyancy aircraft with a full fuel load, pilot, full machine gun ammo, and two 120kg Depth Charges. With the optional 300kg charge, it needs a "running start" (a carrier deck) to take off. As such, Pintails deployed on Cruisers do not have 300kg charges available to them.

Very close in performance to the F/A-2 Hawk, the Fulmar is a powerful strike fighter, capable of loading bombs, rockets, and torpedoes. An upscale of the "Pintail," it, like the Pintail, is made mainly of wood, with a few Scadium-alloy structural members, to save weight. The thin metal skin over the main body of the aircraft is made of Scadium-Aluminium Alloy, and while very thin, can resist lower caliber rifle rounds fired from ground troops.
