My Little Pony: Warfare is Magic

Kingdom of Ambleion: Ground Vehicles

The Ambleonian Army was fast to adopt motor carriages when the technology became available, and unlike Equestria, already had basic Fractal Petroleum refineries running before the war began, as they used fractal petroleum motors for mining. The Ambleonian Army produced the second most used combat vehicle during the war - the Purvis Saracen - and the second-most used utility vehicle, the Hillcolt Tilly and its derivatives. Purvis Saracens would be used by the Neigtherlands Army as an APC and command vehicle. The Tilly was bought by most NEIGHTO forces, along with Equestrian Jeeps.

FV-101 Saracen
DESIGNATION: Fighting Vehicle, series 100, number 1, "Saracen" ROLE: Armored Personnel Carrier ARMOR: 40mm (Front Face), 30mm (Sides), 20mm (Rear), 12.5mm (E. Deck)
MAIN GUN: 1 x 11mm L-5 Vickers-Henfield MACHINE GUN: 1 x 7mm L-4 "Lewis" Machine Gun AMMUNITION: 900 11mm Rounds, 672 7mm Rounds

POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO: 11.5kw/tonne | 13.7hp/t MAXIMUM SPEED: 57kph/35mph (On Road) TRAVEL RANGE: 170 km
The Saracen APC was adapted by the Royal Ambleonian Army in several roles. Without the turret, it's used as a scout vehicle (FV-102), as its speed increases to 70kph/43mph. It's also used as a command vehicle (FV-103), ambulance (HV-101), signals vehicle (FV-104), and engineer equipment vehicle (XV-101). Around late 1004 C.S., a missile pod was adapted to replace the turret, creating the first Anti-Tank Missile Carrier in NEIGHTO (FV-105 Sarakene).

FV-105 Sarakene
DESIGNATION: Fighting Vehicle, series 100, number 5, "Sarakene" ROLE: Anti-Tank Vehicle/Tank Destroyer ARMOR: 40mm (Front Face), 30mm (Sides), 20mm (Rear), 12.5mm (E. Deck)
MAIN GUN: 1 x 3 M.2 T.O.W. Missile MACHINE GUN: 1 x 7mm L-4 "Lewis" Machine Gun AMMUNITION: 6 + 3 missiles, 672 7mm Rounds
OVERALL LENGTH: 5.2 meters/17 feet OVERALL HEIGHT: 2.56 meters/8.4 feet ENGINES: 2 Vauxhall PFV-7 V-8 Fractal Petroleum
POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO: 11.5kw/tonne | 13.7hp/t MAXIMUM SPEED: 57kph/35mph (On Road) TRAVEL RANGE: 170 km
The FV-105 Sarakene is the first missile-based vehicle in NEIGHTO, and mounts the M.2 "Tube-launched, Optically-sighted, Wire-guided" missile in a four missle rack on top. The 100mm-diameter missle can penetrate up to 200mm of rolled homogenous armor at 0 degrees incline. It has a crew of six - driver, loader, gunner, commander, and two "sighters." The M.2's range is 1km and travels at 250m-per-second, giving it four seconds of flight time.

FV-201 Covenanter
DESIGNATION: Fighting Vehicle, series 200, number 1, "Covenanter" ROLE: Medium Tank ARMOR: 190mm (Glacis), 127mm (Front Face), 120mm (Sides), 55mm (Rear), 20mm (E. Deck)
MAIN GUN: 1 x OQF 18pdr (77mm HV NEIGHTO) ATC.5 Mk. I MACHINE GUN: 1 x 7mm L-4 "Lewis" Machine Gun AMMUNITION: 44 77mm Rounds, 672 7mm Rounds
OVERALL LENGTH: 8.86 meters/29 feet OVERALL HEIGHT: 2.98 meters/9.77 feet ENGINES: 2 Vauxhall PFV-8 Mk. II V-10 Fractal Petroleum
POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO: 11.5kw/tonne | 13.7hp/t MAXIMUM SPEED: 51kph/32mph (On Road) TRAVEL RANGE: 170 km
The Covenanter was in production at the same time as the Tassigny in Equestria, and the lessons learned from early tank battles against Tirek Heavy Tanks was incorporated before the series was fully fielded, with the initial batch of 34 17pdr-armed tanks rearmed with the newer 18pdr gun. The "Ordnance, Quick Firing" 18pdr is identical to the Equestrian 77mm High Velocity Gun, and - at least on paper - was capable of penetrating Tirek heavy tanks from the sides and rear, at a distance of 750 meters or closer. The designation "Quick Firing" indicates the weapon uses one piece ammunition, as opposed to projectile-and-powder-bag ammo, as was used on ceremonial cannons before the war.

FV-301 Comet
DESIGNATION: Fighting Vehicle, series 300, number 1, "Comet" ROLE: Heavy Tank ARMOR: 170mm (Glacis), 120mm (Front Face), 120mm (Sides), 50mm (Rear), 20mm (E. Deck)
MAIN GUN: 1 x OQF 20pdr (90mm NEIGHTO) ATC.4 Mk. I MACHINE GUNS: 1 x 11mm L-11 Vickers, 1 x 7mm L-4 "Lewis" Machine Gun AMMUNITION: 27 90mm Rounds, 600 11mm rounds, 672 7mm Rounds
OVERALL LENGTH: 11 meters/36 feet OVERALL HEIGHT: 3.2 meters/10.5 feet ENGINES: 2 Ambleon-Electric E-4 Mk. I IL-10 Fractal Petroleum
POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO: 10kw/tonne | 13.4hp/t MAXIMUM SPEED: 48.5kph/30mph (On Road) TRAVEL RANGE: 120 km
The Comet is a study in what happens when a society that doesn't understand the concept of armored fighting vehicles, have to adapt to building them in a short time. While the 90mm/20pdr gun is very powerful, in order to get it moving, an experimental engine setup was used - a 20-cylinder setup in two in-line engines. The result is somewhat underpowered, and has thinner armor than the Covenanter Medium Tank, but at a more beneficial angle, increasing overall effective armor thickness. The heavies also have a fairly short range. They were superceded by the Centaur Main Battle Tank starting in 1005, but retained in Royal Guard Armor Regiments based at home, as they'd be used in a defensive role there, if needed at all.

FV-302 Valiant
DESIGNATION: Fighting Vehicle, series 300, number 2, "Valiant" ROLE: Tank Destroyer ARMOR: 200mm (Front Face), 160mm (Sides), 50mm (Rear), 20mm (E. Deck)
MAIN GUN: 1 x 105mm ATC.L7 Mk. IA MACHINE GUNS: 2 x 11mm L-11 Vickers AMMUNITION: 44 105mm Rounds, 1800 11mm rounds
OVERALL LENGTH: 11 meters/36 feet OVERALL HEIGHT: 2.82 meters/9.25 feet ENGINES: 2 Ambleon-Electric E-4 Mk. I IL-10 Fractal Petroleum
POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO: 10kw/tonne | 13.4hp/t MAXIMUM SPEED: 48.5kph/30mph (On Road) TRAVEL RANGE: 160 km
The Valiant is the attempt to get the 105mm L7 gun out into the field as fast as possible. The heavy tank destroyer has very thick armor around the casemate, but otherwise uses the hull of the FV-301. Being a casemate gun tank destroyer, it does have its limitations. After the Centaur MBT started production, the Valiant was kept around as a breakthrough vehicle and assault/anti-fortification gun carrier.

FV-303 Achillies
DESIGNATION: Fighting Vehicle, series 300, number 3, "Achillies" ROLE: Self-Propelled Artillery ARMOR: 50mm (Front Face), 50mm (Sides), 20mm (E. Deck)
MAIN GUN: 1 x OQF 20pdr (90mm NEIGHTO) GAH.1 Mk. IA MACHINE GUNS: 1 x 11mm L-11 Vickers AMMUNITION: 55 105mm Rounds, 800 11mm rounds
OVERALL LENGTH: 8.1 meters/26.5 feet OVERALL HEIGHT: 3.3 meters/10.8 feet ENGINES: 2 Ambleon-Electric E-4 Mk. I IL-10 Fractal Petroleum
POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO: 10.5kw/tonne | 14hp/t MAXIMUM SPEED: 53kph/33mph (On Road) TRAVEL RANGE: 160 km
The Achillies is a standard self-propelled howitzer, with a range of 12.5km. It also has Canister Shot for low-arc AAA engagement or anti-infantry duty, and the same APCBC 90mm shell found on heavy tanks. It has, however, almost no armor at all, and can barely fend off small arms fire from the front and sides. It is open topped and has no rear wall at all, making it VERY vulnerable to close assault. That is, however, why such SPG's and SPH's are kept far behind the lines.
