On the advice of General K, one of the Prince Orlando-class Battelcruisers was converted into a Light Aircraft Carrier while under construction. Smaller than the Canidan Mount Yakutat class, the Mount Athos class has two units - the Mount Athos being converted from the planned 4th Battlecruiser, and the Mount Olympus built intentionally. The shorter and thinner Vulpine carriers have a smaller aircraft compliment, but can add additional units with deck parking. Working in tandem, the two units can maintain a mission pace faster than one carrier alone. Unique to the Vulpine carriers is the mounting of the superstructure and smoke stacks on the side of the hull, so the flight and hangar decks are completely uninterrupted.

Thin and almost spritely, the Prince Orlando-class Battlecruisers share the basic hull shape of the Thuringria-class battleships, but with more room for engines, better engines, and a refined layout. The thinner hull and redesigned lower bottom allows it to achieve speeds on par with heavier Scout Cruisers. With its 10-inch guns, it has enough striking power to take down any Cruiser-weight opponent, and with its relatively high speed, the ability to run away from any Battleship-weight one, if its high velocity 10-inch AP shells can't pierce its hide. Like the Canidan 5-inch guns, the Vulpine 5-inch guns can be used for AAA as well as anti-ship. For ease of production, its machine guns are Polelish UKM-1 11mm's, despite Vulpesylvania producing its own 11mm heavy machine gun.

Vulpesylvania decided on a VERY light "Light Cruiser" for their fleet. Depending entirely on rapid fire and high shell output to inflict damage, the 5" (127mm) guns can also function as anti-aircraft weapons, thus preparing for the use of Aircraft of some kind, by enemy forces. With 20 available guns, the "weight of shell" for the cruisers is immense, though their total range is rather short, at just 16km. By comparison, the 10" (254mm) guns of the Battlecruisers have a range of 32km.

The torpedo boats of the Vulpine fleet, the Athens class destroyers can put out 12 torpedoes in rapid succession, and a blistering 10 barrels of 5-inch gunfire to boot. Very fast as far as Destroyer-sized vessels go, they dovetail nicely into the torpedo striking forces of the NEIGHTO fleet, and act as spoilers to an enemy battle line, with their fast and deep strikes, while the Cruisers line up for gun battles.

The Mount Athos-class carriers were modernized slightly, and the flight deck and hangar were expanded. As a result, the ship can now carry three total squadrons of aircraft - two of Strike-Fighters and one of Scouts. As with the other ships of the fleet, a bow extenson was added for sonar. With the issues the Vulpesylvanians had with Polelish PIZ-1 and PIZ-2 aircraft fitting properly on the vessels, they purchased ME-101 and ME-105 aircraft from Germaneigh instead. This increased the ability of the Carriers, and turned them into Light Aircraft Carriers. The purchased PIZ aircraft were re-issued to the Air Force. The VMS Mount Athos was sunk during the Battle of Athens. It was decided to replace it with an entirely new warship instead of a duplicate or follow-on of the same type.

A serious upgrade to the AAA suite is accompanied by a massive upgrade to the main guns, so the ships can overmatch Tirek battleships. Scout planes give the ship some reach and eyes beyond the horizon. Given their superior floating ability, they have a longer loiter time in the field, and can be used for artillery spotting. Roaman 57mm AAA guns were purchased to suppliment the existing 25mm guns. The VMS Prince Orlando was sunk during the Battle of Athens. It was decided to replace it with an entirely new warship instead of a duplicate or follow-on of the same type.

The Thermopylae class Coastal Defense Battleships are essentially shrunk down, pre-refit Prince Orlando class vessels, in terms of gun power. They lack secondary batteries, but have powerful 10-inch Naval Rifles. The vessels have a very shallow draft compared to the Line Ships of the Vulpe fleet, allowing them to get VERY close to the shores of the Vulpine Islands for emergencies. They also carry a large boat compliment, and two Companies of Marines, to handle various emergency situations. The class is part of the Inner Islands Defense Fleet along with Coastal Patrol Cruisers and Patrol Cutters. Given the wide geographic area of the Vulpine (Greek) islands, despite the classification of Coastal Defense Vessels, they are expected to partake in combat in semi-open waters, and are organized into what are essentially Surface Battle Groups, thus deserve to be recognized as part of the main fleet.

The Cyclades class Coastal Defense Cruisers are typical of the type - smaller, slower, but with very good armor and low striking power. Cheap to build compared to full sized heavy cruisers, they can take plenty of punishment, and with the Roaman 200mm guns, return fire smartly enough to endanger anything lighter weight than another Heavy Cruiser, and challenge the same on somewhat even terms. What this translates to, is a ship capable of defending myriad shorelines from enemy incursion either through direct protection, or through counter-invasion. While Coast Defense Battleships of the Thermopylae class engage heavy fleet units, the Cyclades class can flank them and take out smaller vessels, or enemy landers. The class is part of the Inner Islands Defense Fleet along with Coastal Patrol Battleships and Patrol Cutters. Given the wide geographic area of the Vulpine (Greek) islands, despite the classification of Coastal Defense Vessels, they are expected to partake in combat in semi-open waters, and are organized into what are essentially Surface Battle Groups, thus deserve to be recognized as part of the main fleet.

The light cruisers (and all other 5-inch gun in the fleet) were upgraded with Equestrian-made barrels, and adapted breech blocks, so the single-piece ammunition used by Equestria could be fired from them, increasing rate of fire. A scout plane was added, though the Launches stayed, and additional AAA weaponry was mounted as well. Three additional units were already under construction and simply completed to these updated lines. A new bow extension was added, to mount Sonar, increasing the length to 132 meters. The VMS Arcadia and VMS Larisa were sunk during the Battle of Athens. VMS Phocis was constructed to replace them, using both recovered equipment salvaged from the two lost vessels, and a section of incomplete spare hull that had been constructed to test the ability of the dockyards in Athens to handle such a project. It was then decided that the Fleet would be reorganized. Each of the two remaining Battlecruisers would be assigned three Light Cruisers, the remaining Carrier assigned two, and the three resulting formations each assigned four Destroyers, to make two Surface Battle Groups and one Carrier Battle Group.

Slick like the foxes that pilot them, the upgraded engines increase the maneuverability of the vessels, and tighten the turning radius by 11.5% from before. Perfected, six more units were constructed along these updated lines. Like the Light Cruisers, the Destroyers use Roaman-purchased Double Reduction Geared Turbines.

Large numbers of coast defense cutters can, and in this case do, swarm over the Vulpe islands, seeking out pirates, enemy vessels, and ships in distress. Relatively nimble, they lack heavy weapons, and lack torpedoes, but are excellent for anti-submarine protection. They have good enough protection to tangle with enemy Frigates, and perhaps even Destroyers in the right circumstances. They have good AAA armament, and machine guns to interdict enemy landers. In terms of ocean going vessels, its closest comparison is a Corvette. The class is part of the Inner Islands Defense Fleet along with Coastal Patrol Battleships and Coastal Patrol Cruisers. Given the wide geographic area of the Vulpine (Greek) islands, despite the classification of Coastal Defense Vessels, they are expected to partake in combat in semi-open waters, and are organized into what are essentially Surface Battle Groups, thus deserve to be recognized as part of the main fleet.
