United Kingdom of Germaneigh: Aircraft (Königliche Luftwaffe/Luftwaffenflotte der Marine)

Germaneigh had been among the nations that experimented with Autogyros before the war, for recreation and observation. However, with the Crystal Kingdom's mastery of neutral bouyancy aircraft, Germaneigh's premier Gyro manufacturer, Messershmidt, developed a series of planes for military use. Unusually, the Germane aircraft aren't split between Scout-with-Anti-Sub and Strike/Fighter like most nations. Instead, their Scout planes are also their primary fighter aircraft, and their strike plane is strictly for anti-ship and anti-sub actions, with self defense secondary. Germaneigh also experimented with anti-air missiles once the first Tirek aircraft were seen at the Dutch East Indies.

The "Specht" is a fast, nimble aircraft carried on Germane warships as scout planes AND organic air cover against enemy air strikes. The neutral bouyancy allows the vessels to take off with almost no horizontal clearance without bombs. If the two light bombs are required, the cannon ammunition can be omitted for the same effect. Otherwise, it does require a flight deck. Only the Germane aircraft carriers carry the 114kg AP bombs. The 45kg HE bombs are more designed for infantry support, as they can defeat most of Tirek's armored vehicles.

A close competitor to the other Strike Aircraft in NEIGHTO, the "Adler" is based on the "Specht" airframe, but larger. It has enough space in its underfuselage hardpoint to carry a single 533mm Gyro-Stabilized Torpedo, plus enough lift to carry two 45kg/100lbs HE bombs. It is a pure attack plane, and atni-sub aircraft, with a special bracket to interface with the underfuselage hardpoint to carry either 2 Depth Charge or a 6-shot rack of down-facing "Igel" 200mm Anti-Sub Mortar launchers.
