Republic of Macedonkia: Firearms



Macedonkia received War Aid from the Herdiet Union, along with Tarpangoslavia, and from that, developed their own adaptations to existing Herdiet designs. These alterations or independent projects are listed here. Unlike on Earth, every nation in the Equus Herdintern Pact and those aided by them in the Non-Aligned Movement, largely use almost exact copies of Herdiet weapon systems, as standard issue firearms. Since firearms as a concept, being brand new to Equus, had no real supporting industries in most of these nations, it was easier to copy existing designs wholesale than invent new from wholecloth. So, any Herdiet-designed weapons would not be listed, here.

Macedonkia has been preparing for a conflict with Vulpesylvania for decades, constantly evaluating everything from troop strength to technological advantage. As such, it had a well organized and well trained military for a very long time, complete with line infantry, light infantry, special operations, engineers, logistics, and so on.


TT-3

The TT-3 pistol was designed and produced at the Tetovo State Arms Manufacturing Facility, starting in 1873 Year of Revolution (analogous to 1003 C.S.) as a replacement for the PT-71 for front line and special operations troops that needed "more pistol" than the PT-71. It is mainly used by infantry officers in that role, as the longer barrel offers a better sight picture, and the heavier weapon offers better stability. It uses the same magazines as the PT-71.

Macedonkia's AP-74 is a slight evolution of the AK-72, in that it incorporates a folding stock and forward grip. The AK-72 pattern full rifles are used by line infantry, while the AP-74 is used by special operations teams, mechanized infantry shock troopers, military police, and others that need a weapon that can be made more compact, more easily.

Macedonkia's KAP-74 was designed for special operations troops, as well as vehicle pilots, as an ultra compact assault rifle for close range use only. Special Operations Teams have access to a suppressor unit that clamps over the front sight post, that extends its length to the same as the AP-74, but gives significant volume reduction.

Developed as a better precision rifle than the Herdiet SVKM, the SPP-73 has a retractable stock, and is slightly lighter. The SPP-73 is mainly issued to special operations sniper teams and "lone hunters."
