The incomplete Kisaze Jagiello was chosen to be converted into an Aviation Cruiser, instead of a conventional Aircraft Carrier. Part of the reason lie in the desire to have the ship able to protect itself against Destroyers, Aircraft and other threats to a greater extent than conventional Aircraft Carriers, so it can take position closer to the front of the battle line. The other part of the reason was experimentation - if the hullform proved to be unsuited to the conversion, it could be re-completed as a Pocket Battleship, and a different hull design used instead. The renamed Cedynia is a very decent addition to the Polelish Fleet, and does give it long range strike power. |

Unable to produce a larger warship, after engaging a Tirek fleet around War Day 887, the Polelish Navy found itself poorly prepared. While its warship designs did win the day, the fight was very chancey, and resulted in a lot of casualties, with many ships seriously damaged. Up-gunning the Prince-Class Armored Cruisers to one of their descendant design types - Battlecruisers or Pocket Battleships - was a no-brainer. Unable to fit a gun much larger than 11.5-inch on their ship, they settled on an indigenous 29cm main gun design that could still fit the barbette properly. Secondary Guns were swapped out with units bought from Ambleon, in the form of the fantastic 4.7-inch DP gun. Adding in anti-aircraft guns was also deemed important, with the domestically-produced ZMT-37 using Germane 37mm caliber shells. Lastly was the addition of a few Scout Planes, and a full port-to-starboard hangar deck with elevator (similar to that used on the Equestrian Rainbow of Light-class Fast Battleships), as well as major updates to the overall ship's superstructure, with a new bridge, and better protection for the lower part of the smoke stack. Better engines, with a Forced Circulation system, give it a bit more speed, and a smaller engine compartment. |

Also significantly modified, the County-class original 160mm guns had about the same effective range as the Ambelonian 4.7-inch guns, so the Polelish chose to simply add as many as they could fit on to the Cruisers, converting them into Anti-Aircraft Light Cruisers. As with the Prince-class, the hull was brought up to cover the hangar, to give it the most possible space to store aircraft. Given that the two classes have similar beams, the hangars are very similar internally, and use a roof-mounted elevator platform to withdraw the aircraft into the hangar for protection from the weather. |

New engines, more guns, a new bow section, and a quartet of AAA guns are the key features of the reconstructed Polelish Destroyers. Lengthened, making them Destroyers now and not Frigates any longer, the increased length also adds fuel bunkerage, and increases the over all range of the vessels, making them true Fleet Destroyers. Two more units were constructed along these updated lines. |
